Ari Silkey leads Amazon’s North American surface transportation network. Ari, a Business Journal 40 under 40 winner, has served as an Executive Committee Board member of the Minneapolis Downtown Council and the U of M’s Transportation Studies board, helping to shape the future of technology in transportation. He has 20+ years of Executive Management & Product Development experience in the consumer electronics and transportation industries. Prior to joining Amazon, he held senior leadership positions at Fortune 100 companies and has also co-founded several Start-up companies. Over the course of his career, Ari has led the successful development and launch of more than 100 products that have positively impacted safety, productivity, and sustainability.

Rakesh Aneja

Rakesh Aneja has leadership responsibility for Daimler Truck North American (DTNA) eMobility organization based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, he finds purpose in building and leading global, high performing teams that are driven to deliver socially responsible, customer-centric heavy- and medium-duty eMobility vehicles. Rakesh has 25+ years of diverse professional and educational experiences related to commercial vehicles spanning multiple countries — U.S.A., Germany, and India. Rakesh serves on DTNA’s Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Council and as executive sponsor for DTNA’s Women’s Interactive Network (WIN) and STEM Employee Business Resource Groups. He also serves as Board Chair for Downtown Boxing Gym, a not-for-profit organization with the mission to empower Detroit students to be productive members of society through education, athletics, mentorship, and intervention. Rakesh received his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, U.S.A. and his Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.

Chris has 20 years of leadership experience, including 12 years leading Amazon teams. Prior to sustainability, Chris helped scale operations for Amazon Fresh, the company’s online grocery delivery business, where he managed multiple facilities in the Northeastern United States. Chris is a former US Army officer who deployed to Iraq from 2008-2009. Chris is passionate about big ideas and bold actions to help solve the climate crisis.

Susan Beverly is the Director and Head of Transparency, Partnerships, and Engagement for Worldwide Sustainability at Amazon. Susan is responsible for building and managing Amazon’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy and managing Amazon’s growing number of external sustainability collaborations and partnerships. Susan also leads global content marketing for Amazon’s sustainability initiatives, as well as strategic employee engagement programming.

As of June 2021, Alexis Clemons has been driving electromobility sales for national account customers for Volvo Trucks in North America. Alexis is responsible for navigating electromobility adoption with fleets within key areas such as feasibility studies, route simulations, incentive investigation, infrastructure timelines, driver trainings and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Prior to Volvo Alexis has 13 years in industrial power solution sales for the Motive industry with a focus on ICE to electrification projects.

Cody Howard is the Branch Chief of the Diesel Programs Enforcement Branch in the Enforcement Division of the California Air Resources Board (CARB), where he oversees the enforcement of CARB’s on- and off-road diesel regulations. After obtaining his PHD in 2010 from the University of California at Davis, he first worked for the US EPA and USDA in Washington DC. In 2014, Cody transitioned to the California Air Resources Board, where he has worked on a variety of programs, including air quality modeling, emissions forecasting, emissions sampling of heavy-duty trucks, and most recently enforcement. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and biking with his family.

Tim Langenkamp

VP, Business Development – Sustainability

Tim Langenkamp serves as VP, Business Development – Sustainability for Pilot Company. In this role, he focuses on energy-transition strategies including developing EV charging infrastructure for passenger vehicles and medium- to heavy-duty trucks, driving strategy to support low emission and zero emission vehicles, and continuing to provide low carbon fueling alternatives to customers. Previously, he served as General Counsel for Pilot’s energy unit, working with the senior team on diversifying and growing revenues. Langenkamp has two decades of experience in private practice, advising clients on public and private securities offerings, M&A and joint ventures.

Langenkamp resides in Houston, Texas. Originally from Austin, Texas, he holds degrees from the University of St. Thomas (BBA) and the University of Houston (JD and LLM in Intellectual Property).

Matt has twenty years in infrastructure has overseen $5B+ in transactions with bountiful experience leading transactions for utility scale solar, community solar, stand-alone storage, electric vehicle, fuel cell & microgrids. Prior to becoming CEO of Forum Mobility, Matt was the Executive Director of NextEra Energy’s distribution assets team where he oversaw all greenfield origination, land acquisition, early-stage development, and M&A. His team built the distributed generation pipeline to nearly $2B in owned assets. Matt has also held various leadership roles with Suntech, Yingli, EI Solutions, and PowerLight, where he started his career as a construction manager in 2003. He holds a BA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

After spending the last 15 years in the Transportation and Commercial Equipment Rental industries, Ramiro Lepe is now focused on helping Medium and Heavy-Duty Fleets transition to electric through Southern California Edison’s low to no-cost EV infrastructure installation program, Charge Ready Transport. Having worked with some of the industry’s largest fleets, and knowing the unique challenges that they face when undertaking an electrification initiative, Ramiro’s mission is to educate customers and the industry on SCE’s various Fleet Electrification programs, and the EV infrastructure installation process. Ramiro represents SCE’s Charge Ready Transport program in a Senior Advisor capacity, having earned his MBA from the University of Redlands, which coupled with his extensive fleet background, makes for a truly unique customer experience. Charge Ready Transport has a goal of installing infrastructure to support the electrification of 870 sites for a total of 8,490 Medium & Heavy-Duty Vehicles. The program offers an array of benefits to include two infrastructure installation options, commercial TOU rates, demand charge holiday’s, and charger hardware rebates (for eligible customers).

Andy has been in EV Infrastructure for over 7 years with experience in many aspects of EV Charging and Renewable Fleet Transportation. Andy has sold, installed, and/or operated well over 2000 charging stations across the US and Canada. Beginning as a consultant to Tesla on their destination and super charging networks with a focus on the Southeast, Bay Area, and Eastern Canada, Andy then transitioned to Greenlots. While at Greenlots (now Shell Recharge Solutions), Andy was the East Coast Operations lead, as well as backfilling roles in Health and Safety, O&M, Product Development, ultimately leading the Infrastructure Solutions Team with a focus on CaaS Solutions and Professional Services. Upon Andy’s arrival at Prologis, he built out the infrastructure solutions team, providing Sales Engineering and Project Development support to the Prologis Mobility team.  Prologis Mobility focuses on deploying charging infrastructure to support the Zero Emissions transition of fleets, with a “Charging as a Service” model including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Operations and Maintenance, and Energy holistically bundled into a per kWh fee.

Mr. Montero holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University. Mr. Montero has also served on the Engineering Advisory Board for Washington State University.

Carlo started at Ryder in 2006 as an in-house attorney, then after a decade serving in Ryder’s Law Department, he joined his clients on the business side in product management, holding a few roles of increasing responsibility. Carlo currently is part of Ryder’s New Products division and leads Ryder’s EV business.

Mike has worked in the commercial vehicle industry for over 35 years, is the Executive Director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency and is the trucking lead for RMI. Mike’s specialty is brokering green truck collaborative technologies into the real world at scale. In October 2021, Mike was named an Industry Influencer by FleetOwner and awarded the prestigious SAE 2020 L. Ray Buckendale Lecturer and manuscript author in 2020. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the Indiana Institute of Technology.  Roeth served on the second National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine Committee on Reducing Fuel Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles, is a Department of Energy Merit Reviewer and past Chairman of the Board for the Truck Manufacturers Association.  He understands the customers, operations and intricacies of the commercial vehicle industry having held various positions with Navistar and Behr/Cummins.

Nate launched and runs the ACT Fleet Forum of top fleets who share best practice on clean tech and the State of Sustainable Fleets, the first neutral resource for fleet owners on leading sustainable fuel and vehicle technologies. Previously he managed more than 50 corporate sustainability projects with Fortune 500 companies and led global initiatives on clean vehicles and shipping. Nate is fluent in Spanish and holds an MBA with High Distinction and an MS in Natural Resources from the University of Michigan.

Fleet Strategy and Acquisition for Amazon’s Middle Mile

Keshav leads Fleet Strategy and Acquisition for Amazon’s Middle Mile division. His team is responsible for managing vehicle engineering and vehicle acquisition programs and also for developing and incorporating innovative vehicle technologies that will help Amazon achieve its decarbonization goals. For close to 20 years, he has been leading technology development and vehicle engineering efforts at some of the largest fleets in the Food Delivery, Utility, and Global Logistics industries. Prior to joining Amazon, Keshav worked in a similar capacity in the food/beverage distribution industry at US Foods and PepsiCo. He developed strategies and deployed solutions to achieve sustainability and net zero goals for the corporations. Prior to that, he was with Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) in California, leading fleet engineering and sustainability operations at one of the largest electric and natural gas utilities in the country. Before PG&E, he was employed at FedEx Express in Tennessee, where he held several positions including Chief Engineer for Alternative Vehicle Programs and was also responsible for Global Vehicle/Asset Management. Having worked for some of the largest fleets and also for an electric and natural gas utility, he has a keen perspective on the opportunities and the challenges that accompany the use of clean alternative fuels for fleet vehicles. He is extremely passionate about reducing the environmental footprint of fleet operations. He was awarded Aspen Institute’s First Movers Fellowship in 2011 for his commitment to reduce a fleets’ reliance on petroleum-based fuels. Keshav has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a graduate degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. His studies and employment have spanned the continents of Asia, Europe and the US. He currently resides with his family in the Dallas Metro Area.

Jeff is passionate about sustainable solutions and leads a team of professionals on innovative zero-emissions product development that is reinventing the way Amazon delivers for its customers. Jeff holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech.
